the Owner of Grinning Yoga shares her insights on marketing, expanding to multiple locations and personal drive

Jamie Silverstein is a yoga teacher and co-owner of the Grinning Yogi yoga studio with locations in Portland and Seattle, including one adjacent to the Float Shoppe. From the moment Jamie occupied the space, Dylan took notice of the studio’s organized branding and fierce marketing that has resulted in a thriving studio. She talks about how they plan marketing throughout the year to get people in the door and how they follow up with each person that comes to class to build those strong relationships.A major strength of the Grinning Yogi is their brand identity. With yoga being such a saturated market in the Northwest, Jamie talks about what makes the Grinning Yogi unique and how they communicate that to the community.

Lance has been away from The Float Shack for a few weeks doing some mechanic work for personal income and talks about the work that he’s able to do remotely. He’s also preparing for the center’s third anniversary celebration and shares how he’s using geo-targeting for advertising the event.

A big announcement from Amy this week about the future of Float Nashville’s second location! Contrary to previous attempts to obtain a lease, she shares how shockingly smooth it’s going this time. She talks about why she wants to open a second location and the goals she has both for the new location and for herself. She’s feeling refreshed and recharged to tackle this project after taking a few days off to celebrate her birthday…days where she didn’t touch her email or return calls!  

Dylan had a disappointing marketing experience with a vendor in a grocery store that caused him to reflect on the importance of not assuming a customer’s needs and being confident in your product.
