Shane Stott, author of The Float Tank Cure, joins us for an intimate interview to talk about his personal journey, why he wrote the book, and who he wrote it for. Shane takes us through his inspiring story of finding himself deep in stress, drinking, and drug abuse, finding the strength to reach out for help, and eventually pulling himself back to wellness through meditation and floating. He shares why floating was so effective in treating his anxiety and panic disorder when other treatments weren’t.
In addition to Shane’s story, the book also chronicles the float stories of others in relation to PTSD, chronic pain, and athletic performance, and he shares why he structured it in that way. He also tells us what advice he would be sure to include when giving an introduction to a first time floater!
